I am from the United Kingdom, but have lived for over 20 years in Japan.
I studied Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Bristol University.
I direct the Reitaku University English Drama Group
and have produced over sixty dramas,
including many by William Shakespeare.

好きな言葉（座右の銘）を教えて下さい。: “Strive to do Better.”
This is the motto of the Drama Group
and comes from William Shakespeare’s history play, King John.
It’s always worth doing something well
and making a strong effort at what we do.
We should always challenge ourselves.

休日の過ごし方や趣味を教えてください。: I like creating things.
I enjoy composing music and playing the keyboard.
I like filming and editing short movies, too.
I also enjoy making furniture out of wood.
I like to cook curry and mix cocktails.
Also, I swim three times a week

１週間の休みと100万円が自由に使えたら、どこで、何をしますか？: I would direct and produce a short film.
It has been one of my dreams to direct a movie.

過去の1日で、「もう1度やり直せる日」があるとしたら、それはいつで、どうしたいですか？: This is a difficult question to answer.
We learn from our mistakes,
so there isn’t any one particular day I would relive.

大学4年間で「学生に訪れてほしい場所」はどこですか？その理由も教えて下さい。: I would like students to visit the theatre and see a play in English.
Watching a live performance is very exciting
and will make a strong impression on students.
