"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts."
- Bertrand Russell
In my free time I enjoy cooking at home. I especially like cooking Italian food because it’s simple, healthy, and incredibly delicious. Italian food is so much more than just pizza and pasta. I also really like listening to music, especially music from the 1970s and the 1990s.
I would invest the money by buying ETFs (上場投資信託) so I can be financially independent someday. For example, I would probably buy mostly Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI). I might go out to dinner at a nice restaurant once, but I would not spend much of the money, or change my current lifestyle.
Of course there are some days that could have gone better, but I would not change anything about my past. I have no regrets and I believe that every experience, both positive and negative has made me the person I am today.
I would recommend that students take time to explore Reitaku University’s beautiful campus. We are lucky to have so many interesting and unusual trees and plants. Take the time to walk to parts of campus that you don’t usually go to and pay attention to the landscape around you. At different times of year, you will find blooming flowers and fall colors (紅葉). Many of the buildings are named after trees on campus. Can you find them?
I would recommend that you read books that are interesting to you personally. One book that I enjoy reading is The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark by Carl Sagan.
