By coordinating the seeds* of the university with the needs of society, we aim to enhance the educational environment for students beyond the confines of the university, and to develop both the community and the university.<\/p>\n<p class=\"flextxt\">\u203b&#8221;Seeds&#8221; is a marketing term that refers to strengths pertaining to knowledge, technology, etc.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"rebox13\">\n<h3 class=\"hdm\">Major Initiatives<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"hd01\">Collaboration within Kashiwa City<\/h3>\n<div class=\"flexright\">\n<div class=\"flexbox\">\n<p class=\"fleximg\"><img src=\"\/english\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/region-about-pic1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"flexin\">\n<p class=\"flextxt\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<b>Cooperation with Kashiwa City<\/b><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tSince its founding in 1935, Kashiwa University has focused on cooperation with the neighboring municipalities and has walked alongside the development of the local area. Today, our 450,000 m2 campus is designated as a wide-area evacuation site, and we have a comprehensive disaster prevention agreement with Kashiwa City. In the area of education, at the request of Kashiwa City, which has become a core city, we have begun to directly cooperate in the training of elementary and junior high school teachers. In March 2013, we concluded a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Kashiwa City in order to comprehensively organize these projects and deepen them into more strategic and efficient activities.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"flexright mt20\">\n<div class=\"flexbox\">\n<p class=\"fleximg\"><img src=\"\/english\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/region-about-pic2.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"flexin\">\n<p class=\"flextxt\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<b>Working with the Kashiwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry<\/b><br \/>\n                        Shortly after doing so with Kashiwa city, we signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the Kashiwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in June 2013. The purpose of this partnership agreement is to contribute to the sustainable development of local commerce and industry and the community by mutually utilizing intellectual, human, and material resources in a wide range of fields, and it covers four areas: (1) Promotion of commerce and industry (2) Development of human resources (3) Urban development (4) Internationalization of the local area.<br \/>In addition, in October 2019, we will join the Tokatsu Industrialist Exchange Association&#8217;s industry-academia-government collaboration system, which is expected to expand cooperation with companies not only in Kashiwa City but throughout the Tokatsu region.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"flexright mt20\">\n<div class=\"flexbox\">\n<div class=\"flexin\">\n<p class=\"flextxt\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<b>Reitaku Community Collaboration Practicum<\/b><br \/>\n                        This practical training is a class for first-year students that is designed as the first step toward PBL (Project Based Learning) style learning, in which students work on their own to solve problems during their four years of university.<br \/>After learning business manners and other basic skills, students conduct interviews and research on issues faced by local municipalities and companies, with the cooperation of Kashiwa City and the Kashiwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with which we have a partnership agreement. They will then give presentations in front of the people involved and receive evaluations.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"flexright mt20\">\n<div class=\"flexbox\">\n<div class=\"flexin\">\n<p class=\"flextxt\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<b>Collaboration with the Kashiwa Urban Design Center (UDC2)<\/b><br \/>We are collaborating with the \u300cKashiwa Urban Design Center\u300d, a citizen academic collaboration organization. Faculty members are cooperating in research on urban development in the Kashiwa Station area.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"hd01 mt30\">University Consortium Tokatsu<\/h3>\n<div class=\"flexright\">\n<div class=\"flexbox\">\n<div class=\"flexin\">\n<p class=\"flextxt\">The University is involved in the development of the university and the local community through the &#8220;&#8221;University Consortium Tokatsu&#8221;&#8221;, an organization in cooperation with the government and other universities.
