Tuition exemption due to large-scale disaster

We will provide a partial tuition exemption to students who fall under any of the following categories and are experiencing financial difficulties in continuing their studies.

  1. When the house in which the household's breadwinner lives is completely or partially destroyed, washed away, or damaged by flooding
  2. If the household breadwinner dies, goes missing, or is undergoing long-term treatment or becomes seriously disabled
  3. When the family has experienced a sudden change in financial situation, such as the loss of a family member's job, making it difficult to pay tuition fees
  4. If the student is in a situation similar to any of the above and is deemed to be in financial difficulty to continue studying

Selection will be conducted for international students from Taiwan and Southeast Asia (those with a student visa) who will enroll at Reitaku University after April 2025.


Amount of scholarship: [First-year students] 415,000 yen (equivalent to 50% of tuition fees)
*From the second year onwards, the following scholarships will be provided depending on the grade achieved in the designated certification exams.
1st grade: 166,000 yen (equivalent to 20% of tuition fee)
Level 2: 415,000 yen (50% of tuition fee)
3rd grade: 830,000 yen (equivalent to tuition fees)

  • Conditions for first-year students:
    ① At the time of enrollment, students must have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2
    ② First year spring semester GPA must be 2.0 or higher
  • (2nd year onwards) Grade 1 payment conditions:
    ①Having the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2
    ② The cumulative GPA up to the previous year must be 2.0 or higher
  • (2nd year onwards) Conditions for payment of 2nd grade:

Scholarships for International Students

Selection will be conducted for international students (those with a student visa) from countries other than Taiwan and Southeast Asia who will be enrolled at Reitaku University after April 2025.


Amount of scholarship: The following scholarships will be provided according to the grade of the required certification exam.
1st grade: 166,000 yen (equivalent to 20% of tuition fee)
Level 2: 249,000 yen (equivalent to 30% of tuition fee)
3rd grade: 249,000 yen (equivalent to 30% of tuition fee)

  • Grade 1 payment conditions:
    ① Pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1
    ② The cumulative GPA up to the previous year must be 2.0 or higher (if the scholarship is awarded to a first-year student, the GPA for the spring semester of the first year must be 2.0 or higher).
  • Conditions for payment of Grade 2:
    ① Pass the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test J1
    ② The cumulative GPA up to the previous year must be 2.0 or higher
  • Conditions for payment of 3rd grade:
    ① Pass the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test BJT-J1+ or have a TOEIC score of 800 or above
    ② The cumulative GPA up to the previous year must be 2.0 or higher
