Custom-made study abroad
You can choose a study abroad program that suits your goals and aspirations.
Exchange Programs
Students will study abroad as exchange students for six months to one year, taking specialized courses together with local students at their study abroad destination.
Language study abroad
At the study abroad destination, students attend a language center and take language lessons in level-specific classes with students from all over the world.
Cross-Study Abroad
This is a study abroad program unique to Reitaku University in which students study abroad in a region where the language they are studying as a second language is spoken as the native language, allowing them to acquire both their major language and their second language at the same time.
Short-term study abroad
During spring and summer holidays, we offer a variety of experiential programs, including short-term language study abroad, overseas internships, and international volunteer work.
Reitaku University's original study abroad system
1Select a study abroad destination where you can study with peace of mind
International Exchange Center checks the course content, living environment, etc. of the study abroad program to ensure that the quality is appropriate for the program. We are thorough in choosing only those places where students can feel safe and secure. |
2Credits earned at the study abroad institution will count towards graduation.
You want to study abroad, but you're worried you won't be able to earn enough credits to graduate. There's no need to worry about that. There is a "credit transfer system" that allows up to 60 credits (within two years) earned abroad to be recognized as graduation credits. |
3Study abroad available in all faculties and majors
Regardless of which faculty or major you belong to, you can study abroad as long as you meet the English proficiency requirements set by each study abroad destination. There are no restrictions on the number of students per faculty or major, so all students have an equal chance. |
4There are also scholarships that do not require repayment.
We offer our own overseas study scholarships, which do not require repayment. The scholarships are based on TOEIC scores. In addition, there are programs where scholarships are provided by JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization). |
5Backup system by faculty and staff
Faculty members involved in studying abroad have a university in charge and actually visit the local university to check the student acceptance system, etc. In addition, if any trouble occurs, the faculty member in charge or International Exchange Center staff will directly contact the relevant university to quickly resolve the problem. |
6Reduce the cost of studying abroad
Faculty and staff deal directly with study abroad destinations and handle the student placement procedures, thereby minimizing fees paid to intermediaries. |
7Faculty and staff will support you during your study abroad
When the teacher in charge visits the local university on a business trip, he or she meets the student in person to check on their current situation. In addition, they keep track of the student's situation by email and provide any necessary follow-up. |
8We provide thorough support for the procedures for studying abroad.
The staff International Exchange Center will support you with the complicated procedures for studying abroad, such as preparing documents to submit to the study abroad destination, applying for and obtaining a visa, and processing and arranging air tickets. The staff will also be mainly in charge of communication with the study abroad destination, so you can leave it to us with peace of mind. |
Overseas affiliated schools and exchange schools

We offer a wide variety of study abroad programs thanks to Reitaku University's unique exchange network that spans the globe, including Europe, Asia, and North America.
