The dance club DiR@T has 6 types of dance types: Hip-hop (the standard form); Punking which features distinct, feminine movements; House which is known for cool footwork; Breakdance which features muscle-popping movements and cool, pop spins; and Rock which is both stylish and cool. Each student belongs to one dance type, each with its own practice days. We perform as the Dance Club at the school festival and at new-student events. At the school festival, we also perform other types of dance, including completely new genres. We can’t wait to dance with you!

Equestrian Club

About

Details

We feed and care for the horses in the morning, afternoon, and evening, then divide the other work into shifts. Riding practice is normally held on Saturday mornings, but depending on the number of members, we also ride on weekdays. Twice a month, we have a Saturday afternoon session for youth with disabilities, allowing them to interact with the horses.

Highlights

There are no club fees and you’ll get the valuable experience of interacting with horses. Riding horses helps you build up your muscles, strengthen your core, and improves your health. Horse-riding may not be a familiar sport to you, but with hard work, you’ll improve quickly. Most club members started in dressage, so you’ll have lots of built-in mentorship, even if you’re a beginner.

Twice a month, volunteers hold a “Meet and Greet” event with the Reitaku horses where children with disabilities can ride and communicate with the animals. The aim is to help the children regain their confidence and process their emotions.

We get lots of energy from the wide range of players, from junior high and high school all the way to university. A “survival game” is a special sport using airsoft guns (e.g., electric guns, gas gun), so our main club activities are visiting gun shops and participating in survival games. A co-ed volleyball team with a low net height of 210cm, 15-pt games with three games per match. We also participate in the annual Reiryo cultural festival as a club. We have a lot of events within the circle, such as Winter camp, Summer camp, and the cultural festival, so there’s lots of interaction with upper-level members. Some us have become so close, we even ask them advice about our future goals and plans. It’s a circle with amazingly kind people with great communication skills.

Highlights

The appeal of the club is that we get along well regardless of our grade. In addition to major events like as training camps, we also go to places like Disneyland together, or rent a municipal gymnasium to hold our games. If there’s something that looks interesting to us, we always try it together and the older we get, the more energetic the circle becomes, so the upper-level students lead the first-years.

You can learn English by watching movies without subtitles and filling in the blanks of what the characters are saying, listening to Western music, and playing games like “telephone” and Charades. We practice phrases with varying levels of difficulty, and also study for the TOEIC, so come learn how to get a high score from upper-level members!

Highlights

We don’t just sit and learn, we move our bodies and learn. Members are faculty of the Foreign Languages department, and also from the Economics department, so you can make tons of new friends. We also get along well regardless of grade level, and inspire each other to improve our English skills. The upper-class students are incredibly nice and can assist with anything you don’t understand in class, or just offer up advice.

We invite outside instructors to teach us how to dress in kimono, yukata, furisode, and learn Japanese etiquette and expressions. Students can also participate in a Kimono-wearing competition.

The best part of the club is being able to put on kimono by yourself. If you’re able to wear furisode, then you’ll be able to dress yourself for the coming-of-age ceremony. You can also learn etiquette and how to speak formally to enhance your social skills.

We rehearse and have live performances on campus. Once every 2 months, we also hold a live concert which we rehearse for in our free time. We welcome everyone who wants to start playing an instrument, and those who love music as much as we do. Come join us!

Highlights

The best part is that we have our own studio on campus, so you can practice any instrument you want, any time you want. You can use the studio until 9:00 PM every day (except Sundays and holidays). Even if you don’t have an instrument of your own, you can freely use what we have in the studio. Join us for other activities, too, like barbeques, Futsal (a form of soccer) and Pokémon Go.

We’re on the look out for illustrations, novels, and 3D objects focused on the genres of anime, manga, and games, and exhibit them off at the annual school festival. Members share their hobbies with each other and create together.

Ours is a very free and relaxed club. Our exhibit also won third place at the school festival.
