Student Interview

Why did you choose this major?

My father runs a small business, and having grown up watching him, I've always wanted to take over his company. While considering my future career path, I learned that Reitaku University is the only university in Japan with a major specializing in family business, and I found it very appealing.
Furthermore, having studied at Reitaku during middle and high school, I have a special attachment to the university, and I chose this major because I wanted to deepen my learning in a familiar environment.

What are you particularly focusing on learning?

In the first year, there aren't many specialized courses; most courses are for the entire Faculty of Business Administration. Among these, what I particularly focus on is not only seriously engaging with each and every class each day, but also gaining experience in actually putting what you've learned at university into practice.
Reitaku University offers many opportunities to learn business management in a practical way. For example, during the summer break, I participated in product development in Kazo City, and with the university's support, I was able to participate in a training program in Taiwan. I also had the opportunity to be involved in a product development program with Hattendo Co., Ltd.
In this way, there are many opportunities to try out what we learn in regular classes in real-world activities, which is very enjoyable and naturally motivates us to put our hearts into it.
