Student Interview
Why did you choose this major?
I chose Family Business because I thought it would be an environment where I could learn about family business professionally. My family runs a family-run business, and I know firsthand how difficult it is to succeed a business or run a family business. In order to solve these problems, I wanted to acquire knowledge and skills in this major that are not available at other universities, and to help my family. I would like to use what I learn here in the management of my family business.
What are you particularly focusing on learning?
I Family Business, and I am focusing on family management in particular. I am analyzing family business models, gaining knowledge from them, and thinking about how I can apply them to my future. Another attraction of Family Business is that I have the opportunity to actually hear from people who run family businesses, and to be exposed to real voices and issues in society, so I am taking advantage of these opportunities to deepen my learning about family management.
