Department, major and course introduction
Department of Economics Economics
Economics has introduced a "second-year course selection system."
In the first year, students will learn the basics of economics and discover their interests. In the second year, students will choose from four courses and acquire specialized knowledge and skills.

Economics Course
Students will learn a wide range of specialized fields in economics, develop the ability to analyze things logically and empirically, and delve deeply into solving various economic problems and familiar social issues.

International Economics and Finance Course
In addition to studying international issues such as energy issues, conflicts, and poverty, students will also study domestic issues in Japan, aiming to become international businesspeople with strong economic and financial knowledge.

Economic Data Science Course
Students will learn statistics and programming, and acquire the ability to analyze and evaluate data, aiming to become professionals who can formulate and evaluate policies based on evidence.

Tourism and Regional Revitalization Course
We will explore the causes of regional issues and issues facing the tourism industry, and use economics to consider solutions. We will work with government and businesses to address real-world issues.
