Student Interview

Why did you choose this major?

I originally chose Faculty of Global Studies because I wanted to explore a field I knew absolutely nothing about. Within that field, I became interested in international society and chose this major.
In the International Society and International Information major, you can learn the fundamentals of "how politics works and how it functions." The small class sizes allow everyone to actively participate and deepen their understanding through discussions on various topics.

What are you particularly focusing on learning?

I've started paying more attention to even the most mundane news. I've always followed international relations news, but now I've started thinking about the background, like "Why did this situation happen?" and "What factors are influencing it?"
Furthermore, I've become more conscious of whether the information I encounter on the internet is from a reliable source. When I investigate a single event in this way, I realize that there are opinions from various perspectives, and as a result, I feel that I'm able to broaden my horizons and deepen my learning.
