1Tenfuji
This tempura restaurant is located near Reitaku University. The wide variety of crispy tempura is delicious when served with tempura sauce. They also have rice bowls with piping hot rice topped with a sauce with a perfect sweetness, so you won't get bored even if you go there every day.
2Chinese restaurant
A famous restaurant frequented by students of University, where you can eat authentic Chinese food at a reasonable price to your heart's content.
3Alice's Bakery
This bakery has been in Minami-Kashiwa for over 30 years. The bread has a mild flavor and a wide variety. Chili dogs and oyako sandwiches are popular among male students. On Wednesdays, they offer a 5% discount, and after 5pm, they offer a 20% discount, making it a bargain. International students often come here, and the staff will advise them if there are any ingredients they can't eat.
4Opera House
This natural cake shop is particular about the ingredients they use, such as using fresh, locally laid eggs. Their carefully made sweets are popular with locals, and there is a constant stream of customers from morning onwards. They are famous for their various types of roll cakes and cream puffs filled with custard cream.
5Raja
In addition to the authentic curry made by a local chef, this restaurant is famous for its huge, crispy and chewy naan. What's more, you can have as much naan as you want during lunch time! The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. This popular restaurant is located just a short walk from Minami-Kashiwa Station.
6Curry Shop Bombay
This restaurant, which follows the footsteps of the hugely popular "Kashiwa Bombay" restaurant with a history of nearly half a century near Kashiwa Station, actually does catering (mobile sales) on campus. It's great to be able to eat authentic curry that has been aged for three days on campus!
7Mizushiro Orchard
The orchard spreads across the vast grounds, and there is also a barbecue facility nearby. It is a popular spot often used for seminar and club gatherings.
8Menkichi
The secret to enjoying this ramen is to mix it well and thoroughly. The pork slices are soft, and the yellow curly noodles and crunchy bean sprouts go perfectly together.
9Young Bowl
With 48 bowling lanes, 10 billiard tables, a table tennis table and a game corner, it is the No. 1 amusement facility in Minami-Kashiwa. I use it to hang out with friends after school or for after-parties.
10AEON Mall Kashiwa
A large shopping center located along National Route 6. You can enjoy shopping and dining here, with everything from groceries to fashion and miscellaneous goods.
